How do I earn Bucks?

Modified on Wed, 11 Sep at 11:48 AM

Adopt Me! uses a currency called Bucks, which can be obtained through gameplay or by purchasing them with Robux.

If you'd like to find out how to purchase Bucks, please check out this article.

There are seven main elements of bucks earning:

  • Needs
  • Task Board
  • Stands
  • Vehicles
  • Jobs
  • Furniture
  • Daily Reward

Needs

When raising your pet or roleplaying with a user as a baby, you'll receive tasks called needs. You'll need to do the action according to the need, so if you've got a need that says "Sleep", then you need to put your pet or baby to bed.

Here is a pet raising guide with more details on the needs in regards to aging pets.

Upon completing these needs, you'll receive a small amount of bucks, but these needs pop up frequently, becoming a steady income for bucks.

Here is what you'll earn for each need:

Sleepy - 8 Bucks

Thirsty - 10 Bucks

Hungry - 10 Bucks

Dirty - 12 Bucks

Sick - 15 Bucks

Camping - 15 Bucks

Salon - 18 Bucks

Pizza Party - 18 Bucks

Pool Party - 18 Bucks

Bored - 18 Bucks

If you're receiving a different amount of bucks than what has been listed here, it is likely your account has been selected for a test. You can find more about our tests here.

Task Board

The Task Board will provide you with one task every 24 hours to complete, and you can store up to 7 tasks. Upon completing a task, you'll be rewarded with bucks, potions or RGB Boxes. These rewards vary in amount depending on how difficult the task is to complete. You can expect to be rewarded between 30-150 bucks.

Stands

Players can place food and drink stands almost anywhere on the map, and their function is to set a price from 0-50 bucks (the bucks limit is dependent on the stand), which allows other players to buy the food or drink item from the stand, allowing the player to earn Bucks from the purchase. You can place stands simultaneously.

The stands that currently exist are:

As of writing this article, the Lemonade and Hotdog Stand are still available through Robux purchase. The Hot Cocoa Stand and Cotton Candy Stand are only obtainable through trading.

Vehicles

You can earn bucks through roleplay by taking on the job of a Taxi Driver or an Ice Cream Vendor; however, you'll need their allocated vehicles to earn bucks. These are the Ice Cream Truck, the Black Cab and the Yellow Taxi Cab.

The Ice Cream Truck works similarly to the Stands as when the vehicle is equipped, you can set it to a price between 1-20 Bucks, and players can purchase your ice cream. You can have your Ice Cream Truck out simultaneously with a Stand. The Ice Cream Truck is no longer available for purchase and can only be obtained via trading.

Unlike the Ice Cream Truck, with the Taxi, you must operate the Taxi to get paid. You can set the price between 1 and 20 bucks and wait for a passenger. Once a passenger hops in the Taxi, they can select a destination for you to drive them to and they agree to pay the price.  You must get them there in 180 seconds, and you receive payment when arriving at the destination and entering the yellow-circled checkpoint. The ride will be cancelled if the driver or the passenger jumps out. The Taxi Bundle is still available for purchase with Robux or can be traded for.

Jobs

To add to the roleplay aspect of the game, players can pick a job of their choice and earn bucks for doing so. All jobs pay 15 bucks every minute, up to a maximum of 50. Jobs are only available during the daytime. While earning bucks from a job, you cannot complete needs. Jobs with a "Managerial" status can offer pay bonuses to other workers.

Here is the full selection of jobs:

  • Principal
  • Teacher
  • Nurse
  • Doctor
  • Salon Manager
  • Stylist
  • Pizza Shop Manager
  • Chef
  • Waiting Staff

Furniture

Some furniture pieces are worth investing bucks to earn bucks back.

The Money Tree costs 1450 Bucks, which allows you to periodically collect 8 bucks at a time for a maximum of 100 bucks per real-world day.

The Box Lure costs 750 Bucks, which allows you to place down a Campfire Cookie Bait. While there are other baits you can place down, there are an infinite amount of Campfire Cookie Baits in your backpack and these offer a 79% chance of a Bucks reward, ranging from 10 Bucks to 10,000 Bucks. Place the bait down, wait 4 hours and return to see what you got!

There are two cash registers you can buy to place in your home. These allow players to tip you up to a maximum of 50 bucks. You can use these cash registers to earn bucks however you wish, such as setting up a restaurant or daycare in your house, or you can just leave them in a random spot and hope that a generous player enters. The Cash Register costs 100 Bucks; if you're feeling fancy, you can buy the Golden Cash Register for 300 Bucks.

Daily Reward

Upon entry into the game, you'll be greeted with a pop-up for your Daily Reward. Every 24 hours that you log in, you'll receive some bucks. If you maintain a streak, you'll receive 25 bucks, then 50 bucks, then 100 bucks, then 200 bucks, and then a gift of sorts; this resets back to 25 bucks every five days you log in.
