How does the Undo button function in house decorating?

Modified on Fri, 19 Jul at 5:39 AM

The undo button is a handy tool that was added to help players undo their mistakes when building, whether that be repositioning a piece of furniture, changing it to an old colour or repurchasing a decorative piece that was accidentally deleted.

How do I access the undo button?

Head to your house's "Edit Mode" section and look at the menu at the top of your screen. You'll see a tool icon, which contains additional building tools.

To the far left, after clicking the tool icon, you'll see an arrow going backwards. This is the undo button. Pressing it will undo the last action made.

Where has my undo button gone?

The Undo Button will disappear if you have Build with Friends enabled. This is because you may not want to undo what your friends placed, and it can get tricky if you're both placing things simultaneously! You'll regain the button once you've disabled the Build with Friends stand.

I deleted a piece of furniture that I had for a while. Will undoing it charge me the full price?

The current system works by selling items at a depreciated value once they have been in your house for longer. Once you sell it, the system will refund your bucks at a reduced rate. You will be charged the full price if you choose to repurchase the item. The same works for the undo button; it works by repurchasing the previous item but saves you the hassle of searching for it. Therefore, if you press the undo button, you will be charged the item's full price.

As such, please be careful and make sure you want to remove the item before proceeding. Otherwise, it'll cost you!
