A better building experience I beg

So I build a lot and when I’m building I go through a lot of frustration because of those issues. As you see in the attachment below I’m klicking that beam over the doorway but it selects the roof instead . I didn’t even klick within the blue box area of the roof (cutting boards). And there’s also a lot of issues with the select tool. When I’m trying to select the beam it groups everything else but the beam thing . This frustrates me so much and I can’t build properly without the select tool selecting everything within a 28 mile radius but the thing i actually want to select.
