The persistent problem with Adopt Me's trading economy is largely influenced by third-party websites artificially inflating or deflating the value of items and pets to profit for their own benefit. This works against fair and organic trading, especially for players who refer to these websites to understand the value of their items. A transparent, in-game value system could be a game-changer.
By adding a feature that shows how many of a certain pet or item is in existence on the tooltip, it would provide reliable data given by the game. For example, hovering over a pet or item could reveal a small text stating, "10k of these exist." This number would update in real time as new items are introduced (or deleted from the account by admin).
A few issues could arise with this system, particularly for items that are generated in very large quantities. Items such as homemade pizzas, of which a player can continually pick up would just keep increasing and never stop in count. For cases like this, there could be a hard cap. If the count exceeds a preset threshold, say 100 million or 1 billion, then the tooltip can show, "1b+ of these exist," simplifying information while still being transparent.
Additionally, it would be easier to implement this system if the item counts are already tracked. Otherwise, it would be possible to plan for a gradual roll out of this system. Data for items could start being recorded for a few months in order to stabilize the numbers (e.g., count items at first-time login of players). Once the data is accurate and stable, the feature can be added seamlessly.

@AspensFries, the issue isn’t just about intentional inflation and self-profiting. It’s that these websites lack transparency, leaving players to rely on values that can be inaccurate or easily manipulated. This creates unfair trading dynamics and benefits those who exploit the system. An in-game system showing how many of a pet or item exists would not directly set values but would give players reliable information to make fairer trades without depending on third-party sites. It wouldn’t ruin trading, it would make it more balanced by letting values form naturally based on real data and not someone else’s opinion. Everyone benefits when the system is fair and transparent.

The websites aren't trying to benefit for themselves, otherwise every newer pet would be overvalued. Like they'd make the fairy bat dragon worth a original bat dragon. But no, they don't do that, not even amtv (the most inaccurate website).
This would kinda ruin the game, because their values would be much different and players wouldn't wanna agree to it.
