The minigame is WAY too hard

I'm usually pretty good at minigames but this one is legit confusing and stressful. There's just not enough time to get to the end. This is probably only the case when you play alone. I'm still managing to get a decent amount of candy, but not being able to get to the end hurts. Can the timer be extended if there's less players? Thank you.
